What if the Online Renewal
System is not available?
Service availability to the
Online License Renewal System is dependent upon many
conditions. As a result, ROC cannot guarantee constant System
access.
Licensees are strongly
cautioned not to postpone the entry of an Online License
renewal transaction in the event that access to the system
may be temporarily unavailable or experiencing slow or
interrupted responses. Online License renewal transactions
are considered to be late after midnight of the license
expiration date, even if the transaction is in process at
that time or the system is unavailable. All Online Renewal
transactions will be monitored by the timing mechanisms of
the Online Renewal License System and not the licensee's
computer.
Conditions that may contribute
to service outages include:
-
System downtime for maintenance
operations
-
Unavailability of payment
processing functions
-
Internet interruptions by the
Licensee's Internet service provider (ISP)
-
Slow Internet response times due
to peak usage
-
Computer malfunctions or
failures
-
Power outages
While most instances of
service unavailability are usually brief, extended outages
may occur. If this is the case, transactions can be submitted
via mail or in person at the Department’s
offices.
How can I report an
Online License Renewal System problem?
If you experience a problem
using the Online License Renewal System, you should:
-
Try again later if the problem was simply that the
system was not available.
-
If the problem persists and is not a question of
system unavailability, DO NOT JEOPARDIZE your renewal
status by waiting past your license expiration date to
renew. Mail in your renewal application and fee or drop it
off at the Registrar of Contractor’s offices.
You can report problems with
