Flags are at full staff.

Governor Katie Hobbs ordered flags at all state buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset tomorrow, June 30, 2023, in honor of the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots who lost their lives protecting fellow Arizonans from the Yarnell Hill Fire in 2013. The Governor released the following statement:
 
“Ten years ago, our lives forever changed when 19 men selflessly answered the call to protect the people of Yarnell and Peeples Valley. With each year that passes, our admiration for the Granite Mountain Hotshots endures and their memory will forever live on.”

Governor Katie Hobbs has ordered flags at all state buildings lowered to half-staff from sunrise until noon on Monday, May 29 in honor of all service members who have died for our country. The flag should then be raised to full staff at noon to honor those veterans who are still living.

PHOENIX —  In coordination with the Presidential Proclamation, Governor Katie Hobbs ordered flags at all state buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset Monday, May 15, in honor of National Peace Officers Memorial Day and Police Week.

“Arizona's Peace Officers selflessly put their lives on the line everyday to keep us safe and their dedication will never be taken for granted. Let us honor those brave individuals who have made the ultimate sacrifice, as well as the families who have suffered a tremendous loss,” said Governor Hobbs.

In coordination with the Presidential proclamation, Governor Hobbs has ordered flags at all state buildings be lowered to half-staff immediately through sunset May 11, 2023 in honor of the victims of the tragedy in Allen, Texas.

"Today, we honor and mourn the loss of Arizona's Peace Officers who in the last year have made the ultimate sacrifice,” said Governor Hobbs. "Our law enforcement professionals put their lives on the line everyday to keep us safe and their dedication to service will have a lasting impact on the entire state. My sincere condolences to the families of these fallen heroes, your loved ones will never be forgotten."
