Flags are at full staff.

Governor Ducey has ordered that flags be lowered to half-staff immediately until further notice in honor of former Governor Rose Mofford. Governor Mofford was Arizona's first female governor and served as an unparalleled role model to many. Further details will be provided as soon as they become available.

Governor Ducey has ordered that flags at all state buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Wednesday, August 31, in honor of Navajo Nation Police Officer Leander Frank. Officer Frank was on duty today when he was killed in a traffic accident. Officer Frank is survived by his wife, a fellow Navajo Nation Police Officer and their four children.

 

The Governor will again order flags at all state buildings be lowered to half-staff on the day of his interment. Arrangements are still pending and will be communicated as soon as possible.

Last Friday, August 12, 2016 Governor Ducey ordered flags at all state buildings be lowered to half-staff in honor of Border Patrol Agent Manuel Alvarez.  Agent Alvarez was on duty at the Casa Grande station when he was killed in a traffic accident. Governor Ducey has ordered that flags be lowered again from sunrise until sunset on Friday, August 19, 2016 for his interment.

Governor Ducey has ordered that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise until sunset today, Friday, August 12, 2016, in honor of Border Patrol Agent Manuel Alvarez.  Agent Alvarez was on duty last night at the Casa Grande station when he was killed in a traffic accident.

Governor Ducey, in coordination with President Obama's proclamation, has ordered that flags at all state buildings remain lowered to half-staff until sunset on Friday, July 22, 2016, in honor of the victims of the attack in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The flags originally were to be raised on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 but will now stay lowered until Friday at sunset.
