Captain Nathan W. Anderson - U.S. Marine Corps

Governor Brewer has ordered that flags at state office buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Saturday, February 25, 2012, in honor of Captain Anderson.  Capt. Anderson was originally from Amarillo, Texas, and stationed at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Arizona.

Capt. Anderson died February 22, 2012, as a result of an aviation training accident near the Chocolate Mountains along the California-Arizona border.  Six other brave Marines were killed during this terrible tragedy: Maj. Thomas A. Budrejko, 37, of Montville, Connecticut; Capt. Michael M. Quin, 28, of Purcellville, Virginia; Capt. Benjamin N. Cerniglia, 31, of Montgomery, Alabama; Sgt. Justin A. Everett, 33, of Clovis, California; Lance Cpl. Corey A. Little, 25, of Marietta, Georgia; and Lance Cpl. Nickoulas H. Elliott, 21, of Spokane, Washington.
