Governor Ducey has ordered that flags at all state buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Wednesday, August 31, in honor of Navajo Nation Police Officer Leander Frank. Officer Frank was on duty today when he was killed in a traffic accident. Officer Frank is survived by his wife, a fellow Navajo Nation Police Officer and their four children.
The Governor will again order flags at all state buildings be lowered to half-staff on the day of his interment. Arrangements are still pending and will be communicated as soon as possible.
Individuals, businesses, and other organizations are encouraged to join in this tribute.
