Half-Staff for passing of Barbara Bush

In coordination with the Presidential Proclamation, Governor Ducey has ordered that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff immediately until sunset on Saturday, April 21, the day of interment, for former First Lady Barbara Bush who passed away yesterday.

The Governor released this statement, "Barbara Bush will always be remembered as a true American treasure. She was a tireless advocate for family literacy -- often referred to as the First Lady of Literacy. Her legacy of service and passion for improving the lives of others will leave a lasting impact not only in the United States but across the world. Our prayers go out to President George H.W. Bush and the entire Bush family.”

Individuals, businesses, and other organizations are encouraged to join in this tribute.
