Flags are at full staff.

Governor Brewer has ordered that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise until sunset Thursday, March 27, 2014, in honor of Tucson Fire Department Arson Investigator Thomas Robert Quesnel. Investigator Quesnel died on March 14, 2014, from a fatal illness contracted in the line of duty.  He served in the Tucson Fire Department for 25 years. Individuals, businesses, and other organizations are encouraged to join in this tribute.

Governor Brewer has ordered that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise until sunset Saturday, May 24, 2014, in honor of U.S. Army Command Sergeant Major Martin Barreras. Governor Brewer previously ordered the flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset Friday, May 16, 2014 in honor of Command Sergeant Major Martin Barreras who died on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, from injuries sustained while serving in Afghanistan. Individuals, businesses, and other organizations are encouraged to join in this tribute.

Governor Ducey has ordered that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff until sunset today, Friday, June 19, 2015, in honor of Army Specialist Michael William Corey. Specialist Corey, 31, of Oro Valley, died during a training exercise while on deployment to South Korea. The Governor will again order that flags be lowered to half-staff on the day of his interment. Arrangements are still pending.
