Half Staff Notifications
Governor Katie Hobbs has ordered flags at all state buildings to be lowered to half-staff until sunset on June 9 in honor of Officer Gabriel Facio. Officer Facio passed away on June 8 after being shot in the line of duty on June 2.
“I’m devastated by Officer Facio’s passing. My heart goes out to his family, the Apache Junction Police Department and fellow law enforcement,” said Governor Hobbs.
The three-year veteran of the Apache Junction Police Department leaves behind a wife, two children and a grandchild.

Governor Hobbs issued the following statement:
“On Memorial Day, we honor our fallen heroes and remember with profound gratitude the sacrifices they made in both war and times of peace. May these Americans inspire us every day to live our lives in service of others and dedicated to the cause of freedom.”
